Jon Hauser holds a PhD in Chemical Engineering and has accumulated 30 years experience in research, manufacturing, and commercial management of dairy and other food processing businesses. He has also had an active role in the dairy co-operative sector as a CEO and Director.  A long time student of global agribusiness strategy and economics, Jon has developed a keen insight into the drivers of competitive advantage and profitability. Application of this knowledge to the dairy industry has yielded a model that provides reliable forecasts of milk price trend and the end of year price. Jon's processing industry knowledge and skills in modelling and computer programming have proved to be very complementary to Neil's knowledge of farm operation and economics. This partnership has led to the establishment of the Xcheque.com website.

Neil Lane grew up on his parents dairy farm in Gippsland and has been involved in the dairy industry for most of his working life. For the past 8 years Neil has run his own consulting business specialising in the provision of farm systems advice. He consults to individual dairy farmers, dairy industry projects, and milk processors as part of the Intelact group of consultants. Neil is highly regarded within the industry for his profit focussed whole farm systems approach. In this role he has developed an intimate knowledge of the various factory milk payment systems. He has worked with Jon Hauser over a number years to develop detailed models that allow comparison the various payment systems based on individual milk production curves.
